Hi there just sharing a project I’m doing using shadows and lighting this is like the first part of the series just using one light and shooting at mainly between f/11 to f/22 to get that dark background and the subject lit up with the strobe.
Obvious I use my kids for this one and I had to spend a lot of money on sweets to get them to do this haha….Oh well being a father is real hard sometime.
Reason for me doing this is well when I first started out in photography this is what I wanted to shoot not just plain shots with flat light but with shadows to give it that depth, last year or so I’ve gone away from that since I’ve been using flash lights in my shoots.
So from now on people will know this is my style of shooting for portraits, that shadow look for my kids portraits are not the only way . It usually depends on how creative can you get with the shadows and how many lights you use.
Check out my first shadow portraits which to me give the images more depth, what do you think?
