Hi there want to share a recent shoot I did with a model for my sport series, it was my first one and for a guy who’s done a lot of shoots I was a bit nervous.
I did a bit of research before the shoot, which every photographer should do. I already had a plan on my diary of what I wanted to shoot, what poses and what angle of my lights would be setup. Some advice for inspiring photographers its better to have a plan then show up to a shoot without one. Trust me I’m talking from experience. It doesn’t mean you can’t change it anytime it’s just better to have something solid you can start with then twink it why you’re shooting.
We did a lot of shots with different angles seeing how the light hit the model in different angles always keeping in mind how I wanted the post work on my Photoshop to go.
During the shoot we had to battle the wind and then the rain quite are interesting but fun time. The shoot lasted an hour a half.
This is what we produce it’s not perfect but its a start.
